COVID-19 Update: Community Food Resources for Children Ages 18-19 and under
Below is a list of distribution centers and times where our district and other school districts are providing breakfast and lunch in areas where we know Promise Community District families reside. Please note, information is subject to change so the included links to the district websites should be reviewed for most up-to-date information.

Promise Community Schools
Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020 and every Monday until April 10, families will be able to do a drive-thru meal service for children ages 0-18, free of charge. No paperwork is required. Families will be able to get a week supply of cold prepackaged breakfast and lunch meals. The meals are fully cooked and can be heated in a microwave or oven.
The meals will be distributed in Grab -N -Go style where parents will drive thru at drop off site. Students must be in the vehicle to receive a meal and those picking up the meals should not leave their vehicles. Our walkers can pick up at the drop off location as well. Promise staff will assist with loading the meals in the trunk of the vehicle.

Beginning March 23, any children age 18 and younger will be able to pick up breakfast and lunch from select campuses from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Channelview ISD:
Channelview ISD Child Nutrition Services will provide free, healthy, drive-thru meals to children 18 and under regardless of Channelview ISD enrollment.
Meals will be available at the following locations during the week of March 16 - 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:

- DeZavala Elementary
- Hamblen Elementary
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD:
- Beginning March 16th, Monday through Friday
- Breakfast 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Lunch and dinner may also be picked up.
- Lunch 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Dinner may also be picked up.
- Dinner 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
- Children 18 years and younger (must be present) may pick up meals at any CFISD school listed; this is not dependent on where the student is enrolled.
- Student IDs are not required.

Fort Bend ISD:
Starting Monday, March 16, Fort Bend ISD will begin offering Grab and Go meals at no cost to anyone 18 and under, and to students with disabilities without regards to age, at 11 campuses from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Meals will be served Monday-Friday.
Fort Bend ISD is grateful to be able to offer this service so that we can ensure that our students continue to receive helpful meals, and we are appreciative of the efforts of our Child Nutrition staff members who are making it possible. With that in mind, we ask for patience and understanding as we begin serving these meals and continue to refine our processes to better support our families as efficiently as possible.
Please note:
- Food delivery will occur at each school’s bus line.
- In order to maintain and honor recommended social distancing in order to reduce the risk of spreading illness in our community, individuals should not leave their vehicles.
- Children do not need to be enrolled in Fort Bend ISD to get free breakfast and lunch, but all children will need to be present in order to pick up the meals. Note: Anyone over the age of 18 must be a currently enrolled Fort Bend ISD student to receive a meal. This protocol is in place so that FBISD can adhere to federal guidelines.

KIPP:
KIPP Texas Public Schools, in collaboration with the Texas Department of Agriculture, will prepare and distribute meals for children under the age of 19 while school buildings are closed due to COVID-19 precautions.
Beginning, Monday, March 23rd, Curbside Grab & Go meals will be available for pick up Monday - Friday at certain campus locations throughout Houston during certain times. Grab & Go meals will be provided for each child in each vehicle. Meals will be cold, packaged together, ready to heat, and provided based on the pick-up schedule at specific campuses. Children must be present to receive a meal package. Unfortunately, meals are not available for adults. The healthy meals served will include protein, grains, fruits, vegetables, and milk or juice. As well, KIPP Texas will continue to follow safety protocols such as all faculty washing hands for 20 seconds, faculty wearing gloves when dispersing meals, and as much as possible, following social distance recommendations. YES Prep:
Free breakfast and lunch meals starting March 23
YES Prep Public Schools will be providing a breakfast and lunch meal daily at no cost to all children 18 and under in our communities starting Monday, March 23 until classes resume again. Pickup locations will be at all YES Prep non-partnership campuses from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. All partnership campus students (Hoffman, Eisenhower, Northbrook Middle and Northbrook High schools) can also pick up meals at any of the 15 locations.
We will be evaluating the demand at each location daily and will consolidate pickup locations as needed. Pickup can be either curbside/walk-up or drive thru. Please note that families will not be allowed inside the campus buildings, and those driving will not have to exit their vehicles.
